Shein Plus-Size Swimsuit Haul
Summer is right around the corner. And for those of us in Florida, it’s already heating up outside (sorry to y’all bois in other states). So, you know what that means… swimsuit szn.
For the longest time, I only had three plus-size swimsuits. (I didn’t really like the beach so there was no need for more). I would mix and match the bottoms and tops to give the allusion of more options, though I definitely wasn’t fooling anybody.
But since discovering a newfound love for the beach, I decided it was time to up my plus-size swimwear game. And of course, the internet read my thoughts and sent me targeted ads for the Shein sale a few months back.
I’d purchased this yellow swimsuit from there before, which I didn’t wear for the longest time because I thought it was a low rise bottom. Granted, I didn’t even try it on… but when I did, I loved it.
Anyway, I figured it would still be pretty easy to find some cute selections — and I did!
Here’s three plus-size swimsuits I bought from Shein Curve:
Tropical Halter One Piece Swimsuit (Black): 6.5/10
Tropical Plunging One Piece Swimsuit (Turquoise): 7.5/10
I’m going to be honest – my back and sides are my problem areas, so why did I buy a swimsuit where they are fully exposed?? Your guess is as good as mine. And if it wasn’t enough that I bought one… I BOUGHT TWO (just in different colors).
Personal criticisms aside, I do really like the swimsuit. And I’m pushing myself out of the nest by just wearing the damn thing.
Plus, the plunging neckline is so worth it. I would say the cup inserts are a bit big, and the top itself is not supportive—but you sometimes have to sacrifice those things for style. I took this baby out for a spin this weekend, and it holds up enough to prevent any slippage.
Cut-out Knot Front Ruched Bikini Swimsuit: 8.5/10
I loved the color of this swimsuit and the style of the front. Although, I’ve had a hard time tying it the same way it’s displayed on the site. It’s much more supportive than the other two, simply because of the style. However, the knot tends to creep up and down, so make sure you’re checking the positioning often if you’re snapping a picture.
All in all, these suits will definitely get some wear this summer. Unfortunately, these selections are fully or almost sold out on the website. But the good thing about Shein is they have a wide range of swimsuits in the same cuts/styles with various patterns and colors. Most full sets will run you about $16 (if there’s not a great sale or coupon code — which there almost always is.)
I do think that in the future I will be sticking with styles that match my OG yellow suit a little bit more, because who doesn’t want to feel their best and most confident during Hot Girl Summer?
